So for your question about butcher family and why bought has never gone after them, Vought only started looking for butcher after ep 7 of season 1, they are looking for butcher now, but I think it’s hinted that Grace is trying to keep the heat off, and having worked together in the past, I imagine Butchers family and past is hard for anyone except cia to find. Mallorys anti supe cia task force did exist, and future episodes coming up explain this. Another reason I’d like to offer is that the show runner of the series, is a very gifted writer. I really like the way he handles that trope in gear, season 1 everyone’s closest family is put into witness protection, and to Answers point, it’s usually a very cliche Spider-Man esq trope to not tell people your identity for their protection and whatever, and Butcher is supposed to be the antithesis of what a superhero is, he doesn’t care if he hurts innocents people to get what he wants,(he WAS willing to kill an infant just to puss off Homelander)that’s why he needs his canary, Hughie. This does extend to the people around him, even the Boys, his one drive in life is to get revenge for the death of his wife. Sorry for the essay, this episode is just so good and so important to most of the rest of the show, it’s a start/midpoint for alotta arcs, plus I’m a little high😂

I've rewatched these episodes a couple of times now & I JUST put together that Hughie was the one that killed Rue in Hunger Games. It was bugging me that I couldn't place him, but after rewatching your hunger games reviews, it all clicked! Haha

I forget where, but there was an interview about the boys or something and he apologized for killing her (in a joking sort of way haha)

Right?!? I would have never put that together before I saw it the other day. Such complete opposite roles. He did die very well in HG though, ill give him that.

Summer

Random little fun fact that someone may have brought up already but, the actor who plays the movie director is the voice actor of Bolin in Legend of Korra

Anna Du

I had to stop watching The Boys bc Homelander and Stormfront gave me so much anxiety I had heart palpitations like A-Train whenever they appeared 😂 I’m weak lol

Michael Winter

I don't know if anyone has already recommended this but since you guys love the boys you should definitely watch the new Gen V it is a franchise of the boys that just came out it already has 4 episode but let me tell you it is just as wild as the boys. Highly recommend it
