Love this film, my favourite of the 2 films, Gene Wilder is brilliant and makes no attempt to stop the children dying 🤣. You should watch Stir Crazy with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor, it's amazing

There is also a sequel book called 'Willy Wonka and the Great Glass Elevator', Read it when I was about 8. Starts off right after they blast out of the top of the building, and I remember them going into space.

This movie pissed off a lot of parents when it came out… I love it!! Maybe you guys should create a ‘Legend’ score for movies that defy time…

Alysha Acierno

I prefer the Johnny Depp one over this. But none the less great movie and reaction :)

Deborah Rogers

I like both movies for different reasons. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was the first book I read as a child, so I wasn't happy with the movie at first, It grew on me over time. Love Gene Wilder. Like the Johnny Depp version better.

I surprised so many people prefer the Johnny Depp one, I always hated it compared to the original

I think it's because the 2005 version is more faithful to the source material in all aspects, even though the 1971 is absolutely a classic.
