EDIT: Forgot Derek's backpack in panel three like some kind of chump!I think Kayden needs to be rebooted! :O

Before Elianna started her anti-lewdness crusade, I imagine her as someone other girls looked up to. She was the whole package after all: tall, smart, good at sports, classy, compassionate, etc. I figure it would hit even harder for someone facing an impossible task if they were normally used to success in everything else they set out to do.

Case in point, in that second panel I picture Holly and Kristina as being less mad at Derek for messing with Ellie than they are at him for seemingly getting their hopes up for nothing. Looks like things are working out for them after all on that one though!

I worry I got the wrong idea about both of them from the game, because their reactions at the top and bottom of the page are both actually very sweet. Not that I thought they were mean or nasty or anything, just that they seemed a little… Mercenary. And I continue to sail my ship into uncharted waters.

I like Holly and Kristina's reaction in panel #2. It shows they aren't being malicious when they poke fun at Ellie. They are professionals; they have standards.

Only, I think, when it comes to their fame/followers/career/influence. And since they've organized this as a collaboration, and Ellie is only taking about attending, not stealing their spotlight/organizing some sort of competing event...

I think it's a nice follow on to them squeeing over Elianna being Derek's "good luck" shield as well.

I think both Elianna and Derek are people for whom intellectual consistency is important. I feel like Elianna is laying out all the arguments Derek would make if she were resistant. If she can't come up with a strong, rational argument for not going, then she feels like she has to. The plus side is that I think she believes everything she is saying, so she's effectively persuading herself.

I love the Number Crunching! It always comes down to the Mint Cookies though...can't have a meeting without Cookies (or Web Page!)... [Ed. I realize that this take place on the previous panel...I read them both just now] For this Panel, I agree with Rein, I think Kayden is broken! :)

That is the idea, yeah. They can be ruthless about their careers but they'll also occasionally blow Derek in an empty classroom because he was having an especially bad day. They're sweethearts, fundamentally. XD
