Some days, I am amazed at how much this small body can stay awake. Others day, I am astounded by how much this small body can demand sleep. Days like today, I can barely pull myself from my cocoon of threaded safety; every fleeting moment of consciousness I seem to find, a small, yet large voice demands that I shut them. This voice demands that I return to my deepest stage of REM and remain there, in order to avoid the world and in order to avoid myself.
I do not want to count the hours I dreamt today. I don't want to know.
