The one and only shoot I got to experience on "tour" before I decided to call it quits and head home to quarantine.  At least I got some beautiful shots with a new photographer to enjoy and share with you all.

Last Monday I made the 8 hour drive to Little Rock, Arkansas. It was a pleasant drive with a little bit of rain. I met with the photographer at this lovely AirBnb that I had the pleasure to stay in after the shoot. We used 3 different locations of the 2 story building: the sun room (pictured here), the stairs/hallway area, and the living room. We could have played all over had time permitted; the dining room was lovely and the upstairs bedrooms were spacious and bright.

I wanted to take some self-portraits here before I left, but I was feeling so bummed and tired and anxious given the uncertainty of the world. I didn't know if I was making the wrong decision or not, so I just stress ate and watched television after the shoot until I passed out.

I also realized how hard it was to enjoy the shoot when my mind kept wandering off to "what ifs" and "whens". I am so glad I came home when I did, even though I lost a lot of time and money in the process.

I have to remember to tell myself that things are not always about me; this isn't a personal attack on my life or a sign or anything, it is simply nature, and nature doesn't give a fuck about your life's schedule.

This year was supposed to be amazing. This is my first year out of college. I wanted to travel the country.

Now it seems i may be home more than I was even as an undergrad.

But that's okay. it gives me time to reflect and time to think.

Maybe we all need that right now.
