I thought I'd let you guys know that I learned something very important about Rumble a few days ago - Last week, I got some weird copyright strikes against the last 6 of my YouTube videos, I looked in and disputed it and found that my Rumble was copyright striking my own videos on YouTube :( Upon further inspection I learned that Rumble operates very different than YouTube. Rumble makes you choose between 3 different License types -

I picked "Video Management" because that was the one that was recommended, but it turns out that one gets your own stuff copyright striked on YouTube - I talked with them about how to avoid that, and apparently the license I was supposed to pick is called "Rumble Only". I assumed that meant, the content only exists on Rumble, but apparently means that Rumble doesn't manage the content outside of Rumble.

I heard the reason they copyright strike your stuff is to ensure that you get the revenue generated from your video on YouTube after it gets transferred to Rumble - However, the problem with that system is currently, if your video is demonetized on YouTubed, it basically becomes invisible to the algorithm, so you don't get the views you normally would and in my opinion isn't worth it.

So... long story short, I got all the copyright stuff taken care of, but it was a bit of a rough time getting that sorted it and now I think everything should be back to normal on both YouTube and Rumble -

Always add a description tooltip. Just because something makes sense to you the developer of a game/software, doesn’t mean it means the same thing to everyone else who plays/uses it.

https://rumble.com/user/RoyalSkies It's always exciting to see someone branch out into new territories, just like Royal did by joining Rumble. Although it may be daunting to explore unfamiliar platforms, Rumble's clean and straightforward interface certainly piques my interest. However, I tend to stick to a few trusted sources for my information, and Patreon has earned its spot in that elite group. But, who knows what could happen if one of our favorite platforms suddenly crashed and burned? That's why it's essential to keep an open mind and be willing to try new things, just like Royal did with Rumble.
