So, it's been been pretty awesome being back in full gear now - Though, there is one minor thing that is a bit of a downer - And, that is, my new place has a really bad echo :( Which really throws off the quality of the audio when I record. I used to have the microphone for my recordings right next to my computer which was super convenient, but the only area in my new place that doesn't have an echo when I record is literally my closet when I close the door. So the past 6 videos I've actually been recording in the closest lol - The audio quality doesn't quite sound as good as it did in my old place, but so far it's the best I can do with the time I had available. I'm still thinking about my options to see if I can improve that, but in the meanwhile, I do apologize if the audio quality hasn't been what it used to.

Hey! The audio is good enough to not impact the quality of your videos. Don't feel rushed, prepare your outing at your own pace ;)

How about the towel on a rack trick? Sure you need 2-3 racks and towels, but it can serve as a temporary solution to more long term options.

go to home depot and get a few drop ceiling tiles and place them around the room near the desk and add a cheap throw rug from walmart/home depot. Is the room fairly empty? sounds like too many hard surfaces, floor, wall, ceiling. Need to add more soft items in the room. you don't have to mount the ceiling tiles and you can put them out just when your recording. A cheaper (temporary) solution, you could also just hang hooks on at least 2 walls of the room and hang a thick blanket/fluffy comforter on the walls and floor just when recording.

Or go to the local market and see if you can get a load of egg boxes! Stick them on the walls where you record. You will find the echos much diminished and also experience what it was like to work on a doctor Who set in the late 80s!

Acoustic panels are not expensive and even a few well planced ones can make a big difference.

Thanks for letting me know, I tried really hard to at least get "acceptable" levels of audio lol - I'll still work on improving what I can, but thanks for the feedback :)

Honestly, that sounds like an extremely simple solution to the problem lol - Thanks for the idea!

Don't worry, I'm gonna try a few things and let you guys know what works best once I find out lol -

I'm gonna need a lot of eggs then lolol But, in all seriousness, thank you very much for the idea, I might just combine it with the towel ideas that others of commented with :)

The room is fairly empty, mainly because I simply packed super light when moving so I don't have that many things to begin with - But, yeah it's completely surrounded by hard-floor and surfaces - I'm gonna try out some of the solutions that you and everyone have mentioned, there seem to be multiple affordable ways to go about this, so I'm just gonna try a few things and I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes! Thanks again for the tips!

If you have a 3/4xxx card, you can try RTX voice. I'm not sure how to activate myself, but I know strangers who use it and I can not only noise cancel, but also supposedly echo reduce without too much noise in the mix
