Most likely to get the closest to the legal line. Go:

Unlearning Ethics.

Do you folks not have several other news shows you could cover opeds on?

Ferret Maestro

Kinda agree with the sentiment here. Citation needed is my escape from my current news podcasts that I usually listen to on my drive. This feels more like a long form article discussion from cogdis. Which, I like those episodes, but not what I come to this one for

I love that every apologist like Douthat is effectively arguing that they've outwitted a God that refuses to provide obvious evidence for its existence bc it demands faith. But they claim to have found the evidence that God accidentally left as if they were a CSI tech finding the DNA it left behind.

Ross Douchehat is unbelievably obnoxious.

Cecil, pressed Paganinis was right there!

I teach English to college freshman —"You'll never escape my sentence Batman!" is going to live in my brain forever now.

I feel a spray on my face with every "s"-like syllable like I'm on that Alien seated attraction at Disney in the 90s.

I'm not sure clarifying that you were using *other* people's speech impediments to make fun of Douthat rather than his own makes it much better, tbh. The voice was unnecessary and made the episode a chore to listen to. And by reading those two op eds verbatim, you were still platforming them. I've rarely had a dud Citation Needed episode, but this definitely was one for me.

I frequently listen to previous episodes and let's just say that this will not be one of them. I'm apparently not a fan of the "just read what the jerk wrote and heckle it a bit" approach. On the other hand, I second this voice for Noah's next D&D Minus character, who should perhaps be a nerdy know-it-all.

Sunday Morning Hotdog

Really? The episode where Eli just reads Ray Comfort's book as Ray Comfort is one of my favorite episodes.

Nate B

There are only 3 episodes (this among them) that are just too much of a downer to listen to. See also the billionaire op eds and the recent Obama episode.

Jared Harris

I hope to hear Noah’s Plucky Duck quacking out the recent Douthat readings.
