Relistening to the archives, I forgot how insufferable Tom's character is in that era of the podcast. Listening to the story just so it is interrupted every sentence by an anti-intellectual carricature, truly an experience that you can't miss. I stopped listening to archives here, it was too annoying.

I work in finance, Easter still manages to fuck things up because financial institutions can't decide which Easter (Julian or Gregorian) they want to observe and if they are going to observe good Friday. It makes it very hard to predict things, which is bad for finance. Even worse, it happens around a quarter end, which is also awful.

I think they’re just joking. Noah’s essays are always great. They shit on it a lot, but I still relisten to the New Coke episode. 🤷🏽‍♀️
