The funniest part of the episode for me was imagining that people in north Estonia could believe they are Finnish. I've been to Tallinn with friends from Helsinki, and the Estonian disgust for Finns cannot be exaggerated. Nor is it entirely unfounded. 😜

I know there's no point in checking facts on this conspiracy theory, it's ridiculous and meant to be so and Noah pointed out lots of stuff already, but...Finland had existed as an independent nation since 1917 (after it split from the Soviet Union during the civil war). And lost territory to the Soviets during the Winter War. So nobody was told they lived in Finland now after WWII, quite the opposite in a related conflict.
