Oh wow, ok, this town is a trip and a half. Essentially what you'd expect a Libertarian Commune to end up. Trash everywhere. Animals running rampant, which if it was just dogs, that'd be fine but the bears are the real threat. The town couldn't do anything because so many of these libertarians moved into town, it essentially took over democratic functions. I'm sure all this will be covered in the podcast but that book is great. I recommend people read it.

When you said bears' eyesight wasn't good, I thought, "That's not what I was told all my life." I looked it up, and it turns out their eyesight is as good as ours. Well, that just makes walking in the woods near my sister's house in the mountains even more dangerous than I thought. Dammit.
