Fel Martins

Friendship isn't the only thing that's magic. Citation Needed is as well.

Trax of Lan

Saw this title pop up and I can only imagine how this one's going to go!

Cory Schoelzel

Mlp was the first show I was able to bond with my daughter over, and how I got her into star trek. John de Lancie plays a character on it that's effectively the Q, guess he did a documentary on bronys.

CarrieBoo

WHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYY? (Not why this episode but why bronies in general.)

James F

I am scared.

Kurt Montandon

It's been almost ten years and I still don't know why this is a fucking thing.

Carlo Torres

When MLP came out, half of my friends were bronies. They made me know their names, what type of pony each one was, and what each one liked. Being that horses are number 2 in my top 3 favorite 4 legged animals, I eventually watched it. Little did I know that this was the beginning of something inside of me that would eventually come out when I saw Monster Musume.

Ilan Woll

I remember hearing John De Lancie interviewed and they brought up a documentary he did no Bronies

James F

please do uber failure in china

That sickeningly in-love powercouple

It is the least terrible thing our kid has watched and Discord was clearly cast and written by a Star Trek nerd. Plus the wife is basically Maud

Tankard

You gentlemen are getting dangerously close to kink shaming in this episode. lol

Paul Freelend

Oh, good. I was afraid a whole week would go by without another round of dunking on the latest Deep Rift.

Fluidkaos

Literally listening to this as I'm falling asleep. Kinda meta...

Tankard

Alright Eli, I'm afraid that I have to do some educating now. You said there were 121,777 images tagged with "secks" It is my dutry to inform you that that is not how we tag and search on Derpibooru. Here are some fun Stats. The Tag "Nudity" has 375,266 images. The Tag "Suggestive" Which is mildly saucy, has 145,289 Images. The Tag "Questionable, which are sexual but not explicit posts has 111,442 images. The tag "Explicit", which is what it sounds like, has 355,000 images at the time of this posting. There are various versions of it too, so not all of them are horses. most are, some are furries (Do your own episode on the furries) and some are Humanized renditions of the ponies. To be fair, Some of these numbers are duplicates, variants, edits but not enough to change those numbers significantly. I'll spare you the tag numbers for the harder stuff, and the edgiest, most racist porn series in the fandom is "Fall of Equestria" Why am I telling you all this? Because it's been my fandom for ten years, and I'm gonna own the weird stuff and call out the bigoted bullshit. And Just for Fun comparison, according to rule 34 repository Paheal there are: 148,343 posts for MLP;FIM. 290,421 posts for Pokemon 21,018 posts for Avatar the last Air Bender 33,971 posts for Steven Universe 24 posts for the Bible, 3 for Bibleman, and 1881 for Religion. So have fun with that knowledge. Culture is dead and we sit in its corpse like a throne!

Sami Marie

i just realized what eli is trying to say in the beginning. it's pronounced "cheebee".

Petra Khor

I listen to y'all so I don't SCREAM into my coworkers faces. They're welcome.

Max

OK, so listened to this episode on cycke ride home. Got home to find out my daughters new toy is.... Applejack.

Michele Risinger

Look, my elder millennial ass is in a state of perpetual existential crisis - and y’all are my teddy bear at night, keeping the monsters away.

Kyle

Another interesting fact, the bronie community had a decent size military fan base. The largest of which was based in the Marine Corps.

outaspaceman

Americans are funny..😂😂😂

Nicolette

I love that the title is all it takes to know it’s an Eli week!!

Michelle C

Okay, I need to set the record straight. While I do absolutely use this podcast now instead of GAM for falling asleep, it's *because* I love it that I use it this way. <3

Precious Cinnamon Bun

I would never fall asleep to this podcast. I need to hear every word.

Vega T Zapper

The mental image of the crew as cartoon ponies is what made me subscribe.
