Are you enjoying the story?  I recently received feedback from someone who, in summary, said the following:----Chris isn't compelling because he spends the whole story lamenting his transience and the fact he's turning into a woman.  Because of this, he's one-dimensional.-Gretchen is a one-dimensional character because she's magically this perfect girl who supports Chris despite the fact readers haven't been given a good reason for Gretchen to like Chris so much.---

My thought is that this story is supposed to be a slow burn that heavily delves into the internal trauma and conflict of a cis-man who suddenly finds out his life will be irreparably changed in under a week.  He's spend a lot of the story so far lamenting his fate, but, only a few days have passed, so he's only had a few days to process his grief and confusion.Chris was/is consumed by these thoughts because he just went through a massive life upheaval and feels like he has no autonomy.Gretchen's story with Chris and why the three friends are close will get fleshed out as well. What do you guys think?  Does the reviewer have a point?  Am I approaching the story wrong?  I want to strive to better myself and correct any mistakes I might be making.  Input from those who read the story would be helpful; I'm interested in knowing what about this story people connect with. Please comment or DM me if you can!  Thank you!

I very much like the story. I am excited for the 2nd part of the TF to begin. Keep writing!

Honestly they got a point. Their could be more depth to the characters. Nevertheless, I'm enjoying the story so far. Charles is going through a lot so it makes sense they're hyperfocused on the changes in their life. When they become more comfortable and embrace the changes than I can see their character branching out more. Gretchen represents someone all of us would want at our side during hard times, I don't see a problem with that

Thank you! All main cast members will start getting fleshed out quite heavily now that Chris is over the immediate shock!

The only thing I don't like about the story is the long wait between chapters :-)

It’s your story (it’s great btw) write it the way you want. Don’t let other people’s dislikes discourage you from writing a story line you have planed. Continue to take in consideration constructive criticism, but don’t let it control you. TLDR: You do you boo :)

Afterthought. Can’t speak for everyone but myself. I am not a Patreon “Jane or John Doe’s” content. I am a Patreon of YOUR of your content.

Thank you! I love constructive feedback and already have some ideas for new stories going forward. <3

Im liking how things are so far. The person may be right, however, you are not finished with the story yet. Revision of characters, if they aren’t totally flawed like some people would like to see, should be imo revised once you can step back and look at the whole finished product. That way you can say, “well XYZ could use more detailing throughout these chapters to help flow.” And then you can plan out a revision of your story for when you choose to come back and do a pass through. Changing direction mid story can have the capacity to be worse than better. I have to agree with the general consensus of everyone’s comments posted before mine. And i don’t See any glaring issues that demand a immediate fix. And of course, my selfish desire to see more chapter frequency but not at the expense of quality. :P Thank you for reading my comment book.

Thank you! I think you hit the nail on the head with the right writing philosophy. I'm releasing a lot of content, so the worst thing I can do is try to make massive revisions mid story. Not only could I compromise my preferred vision of the story, but I'd have to devote a lot of time and resources to doing so. My plan is to make big story revisions when they're completed, and when there's no pressure for me to continue making more of said story.

I like that there is a lot of attention paid to Chris's internal thoughts on his transformation. I would say it's expected that he would "lament" it at first, but I hope he finds things to like about it later. I do think it would be nice to get a bit more exploration on his thoughts about becoming years younger, and how that will affect his relationships, job etc.

Thank you! I am actually going to start heavily exploring the "reclaimed youth" angle next chapter so I think you'll be pleased. The worst of her actual lamentations are over and she will start feeling the benefits of her new body more intensely.
