Hey there, I wanted to at least make a post about reaching 10k downloads. I don’t think this is info Itch.io makes public, but I’ve been mentioning it every time I reach a thousand milestone, and every time we got close to 10k I was getting very excited! But, also kinda nervous. Mostly because I didn’t have anything planned.

After thinking for a while, I decided that if anything, I should at least write something substantial about it- More than the usual thank you posts on the Posscroll Discord.

I’m having lots of fun writing this visual novel. Creating a story that’s entirely my own has this magic to it. When I started writing the ST scenario, I had no intention of even pretending I was a “writer.” I know that just writing something technically makes me one, but I guess I never thought of myself as a serious one… Maybe I still don’t.

The truth is, when I started, I didn’t care much about the overall quality. I still had ideas for where I wanted the story to go and how I wanted to tell it, but getting from point A to point B was kind of a mess. Now I have a whole process for how I want to do things, and there’s way less “making stuff up as I go.” I need plans and certain elements to be present in every route. It’s a lot… but honestly, it’s very fun.

Figuring out how to make things work is hard, but also very rewarding in the end. Writing a story by myself can be confusing, but working out how to make everything happen is also great. I'm on an adventure filled with thousands of different feelings, and a bunch of people see this adventure every week. It's hard to figure out how to feel about that.To be honest, “thankful” is the best word I’ve got.

I’m hoping I can keep progressing this VN with everyone, getting to the first ending, and then many more!

Like we decided in the Posscroll Discord, the next new route to focus on is "Maid Up", and the current route we’re working on is "Lazy Days". So if I don’t have anything big to celebrate this milestone, I might as well give some extra spoilers for what I have planned, as a little treat.

Lazy Days is planned to have 3ish endings. Why “3ish”? Because 2 of them are basically the same but with one change.

#Two of those endings are after Celeste focuses on the Slackers:

They both involve Celeste once again failing to teach them, each Slacker growing to hate her one by one, and then her learning how to change her teaching style through her experiences, eventually winning each of them over in time for the Quiz.

This ending can change toward the end if you picked every single Misora option along the way.

The Quiz Competition in the school’s auditorium is where every ending… ends!

#On the Snobs-focused side of things, you could say there are “kinda” three endings.

They all depend on Monica.– If you picked none of Monica’s choices, we get an innocent-looking ending where Celeste just leaves the Slackers and joins the Top Students.– If you picked two of Monica’s choices, then Celeste joins the Top Students… in a more aggressive way.– And finally, and you might not expect this, but picking just one Monica option leads to something very different: a showdown on the night of the Quiz Competition, but not in the way you’re expecting. It involves Celeste, Monica, and Litty.

Random: Did you notice I’ve been hinting at Monica stuff since the start of the route? It’s fun to do these hidden hints.

#Now, about Maid Up!

If you played the scenario version, it’ll be very similar, except this time it’ll be much longer, of course, and it’ll involve way more possession.

Remember that part in the scenario where Liz (now Fran) possessed Zoey (now Lily)? Well, that’s basically the whole concept of the route. Shenanigans ensue, Fran takes the scroll away, and this time her maid-teaching methods involve swapping bodies with Lily! Even going to school as her and with her! Fun right?

Yeah, just like the whole VN, there’s much more frequent possessions this time, which is great, right? I hope you’re excited to see the mansion adventure, this time also including a school adventure with a “different Lily” who now has a “maid.”
