Hey everyone! If you remember from the ELPS days, I used to do specials during two specific times of the year, and those were always fun to make because I could branch out and tell different stories that were quite separate from the main one.

The thing is, it’s difficult to do that now with the VN. In the ancient scenario times, my quality standards were much lower, so I could whip out a one-hour extra story really quickly. But over time, that became more of a challenge, and I even had to stop writing the main scenario at times just to focus on the special. So that has to change.

And I’m saying that because we’re bringing back some sort of special… Shorts!

Casual Times already opened up the possibility of making shorter stories just to have some quick fun, and now they’ll allow these "Festive Shorts" to exist too.

Yep, that’s right. Every now and then, I’m going to quickly create some extra shorts for one of the Casual Times! They can either be very loose stories set in another world (like this first one), or they can be based on what’s happening in the main story. More little tales that can be added to almost any Casual Time! Do you see why the name of the VN makes sense now?

Now, Casual Times can’t have anything impactful happen in the main story. They can add some minor changes (Daya and Mei, for example), but these festive stories won’t do that. That’s because they’re made to have a beginning and an end, a small tale that, once finished, takes you back to the Main Menu like you’ve reached an ending. This gives me more freedom in how I can create them, and should make them more interesting.

The “Festive Shorts” will show up in a certain Casual Time, but only for a week, around when they’re relevant. So make sure to check them out! This one is in Lily's tutorial Casual Time, on Chapter 0.

Aaaaaaaaaannnnd the possibility of these new shorts also brings… new content for Patreons!

That’s right, you beautiful people who support me will actually get something besides me being happy (which is very boring). I plan on making semi-regular shorts exclusive to Patreons! These won’t be tied to festive times, they can happen anytime, and they’ll include some wacky stuff with many of the TF themes we have. Patreon shorts will be accessible at any time in the new Patreon version of Posscroll. And in this version the festive shorts won’t disappear after a week either (so you won’t have to change your computer’s date to play them).

I've also made a Google Forms, feedback thing that you can answer some stuff. It's just a few questions about what you think about different parts of the Visual Novel so far!
