February 2019 Update (Patreon)

This is the second month of this Patreon and there's already 25 of you!!! Thank you so much for helping me be able to focus on the work I've wanted to pay attention to more often.

This month is shorter than the rest and I will be doing many things irl that will take up a good amount of those days so I will probably just have commission artwork and polls for new things to show. We'll see though!

For the comic stuff, I will try to have more thumbnails for the panels. Again, my schedule will be a wild ride so that will be questionable. Everything will be back to normal in March or late February though so more updates about the comics will happen then.

For poll artwork, I've been wondering what I should do with certain pieces. For established chars that work with the themes, your support helps me create more of their story. Some artwork are just fun things I like to draw though and don't necessarily need a specific character. In the past I've just gotten random friends to be the char in the pic or have one off chars. Now this seems like a cool thing to raffle off here instead however money + random chance = gambling and I'm not about that life. So my 3 thoughts are:

-Sell it as a Patreon first slot. I'm questionable about this because it runs into the problem of YCHs that I dislike and it was a democratically voted theme on an already paid for platform. This would make me more income though for donuts which would be nice since it's the main way I get donuts now. 

-Raffles not on here. I could host raffles for the pose on twitter/FN/etc which I had already planned to do for different events anyway. This gives access to everyone being able to be a part of this even if they don't pay but that also means people in the voting tier who did pay don't get a real chance being in drawing they voted for and really like.

-A random char of my choosing will be in the pose. One shot chars never to be seen ever again. No extra donut money for me, money can't buy you into the slot, even random chance can't get you into the slot. Like I said before, I do this with one shot chars and friend's chars all the time. With the one shot char it seems like I could do more there if I'm not really interested in creating a random char though. For friends, I'm particular about how I select such people for the fact that I don't want people to become my friend to get free art. That's not a good friendship to have. This means though that there's only so many people that would be in this art and such things would cause re-occurrences. This Patreon is to help me be able to continue to create personal artwork, so this is still inline but that still seems like an iffy action to do for the poll artwork.

So, I'd like your opinion on what's a good direction to go in for the cases where no specific char comes to mind or wasn't voted on. Is there an idea I'm missing. Does the YCH sound like a good idea? Would the raffle be the better idea? Should I just keep doing what I've been doing pre-Patreon for poll artwork? Is there one I should do more than the rest?

Please help I need an adult.

Also, I'm planning on doing some free icon bases. Just normal smiling 500x500 head-shot. I'll do dragons, dogs, cats, and foxes first since many people are those. I'll probably make a poll for which rare species should be done/done first as well as make more specific species like eastern dragon, husky, bobcat, and an unfillable fox! I've wanted to do this for a while since that can help new people into the fandom without stealing someone's OC.
