January 2023 Update (Patreon)

This is the Forty-Ninth month of the Patreon! Thank you so much for your support! After Christmas can be a hard time to support those on here. So it means a lot when you consider putting those resources into my work!

Originally I was gonna keep this as a highest tier opening and work my way down. However, a large unexpected debt has befallen me. So, I'm opening more slots owo!

General Plans For This Year!

2022 was a really good year for my Patreon. I made the most money so far last year overall and Patreon was a big contributor to that success! The gross amount is around 22K, net amount is around 14k? Need to caluclate some travel stuff still haha. Actual net is far lower =3= rent expensive, but overall a good year. I am very grateful for that, you've helped me a lot!

Bad News is that I went from a stable amount of earnings at the start of 2022 to a unstable amount of earnings at the end of 2022. 

Good News is that from the graphs, it seems like I'll stay above 1K earnings per month. This amount is again, not sustainable on it's own but does help a lot a lot!

Bad News, this does mean I'm making as much as I did in April of 2020 (Yes that year) while inflation has gone up in the current year. Losing arund 33% of my monthly earnings...

Needless to say, the fluctuation between livable income and not livable isn't really a bright future in terms of my art here.

There's a few aspects about my Patreon I need to fix output wise. But comparing my Patreon to others, I feel like I've done a fairly decent job. However I still can't keep the stable numbers without a random spurt of engagement via social media or sequelizing some series even when I don't feel like they're up to the standards I want. My artwork alone just isn't good enough sadly. Ngl, it is disheartening to watch a terrible cub/loli artists makes like ~10x more than me while I'm wishing for $2k a month.

Tis the business life. But it's also not very much of a life at points. This year I really need to figure out a way to increase my Patreon to stable levels without fully compromising on why I'm doing the art I'm doing in the first place.

I'm hoping my side projects do well enough that this Patreon fluctuations isn't a concern like it has been. There's gonna be extra costs this year like, I probably will be moving due to life stuff. So I need that stability sooner than later. However some of my other side projects I've tried haven't gone over the best so currently I'm just kinda gambling here. I use to have better personal support network but due to life stuff outside of my control, that isn't really the case anymore.

I may have to recalculate if this is an actual viable job to do in the long term. Or I may have to up the prices of this Patreon. We'll see over the course of this year. Again, tis business. I just kinda wish this business works out better. I'll try my best like I always do! If you happen to know anyone who likes my work and is able to support, this is a good time to consider showing them my Patreon or let them know about my finished side projects. Speaking of which...

Side Project: Video

I've been working on my videos. I was aiming for the end of last month to finish them but I'm just gonna be my dumb self and make the videos super polished. 

Like my art, I don't want to compromise and make the really basic "owo 10 top furry daddies. Paws. Etc." I feel like I have more to say that that. 

Not saying that content is bad, I just know in the long run it'd make me miserable. 

I'm currently finalizing my "WIll AI Take Over Furry Commissions". Like I said last monthly update, I wanted my "How to draw furry head" video to be the first main video but the amount of footage I need to draw myself is just too much for all the other work I'm doing. So I'm pushing that back so I have more time!

You can also let everyone know of this patreon. It's 95% SFW. There's some swearing and being fine with talking about heavier subject matter. But you're not gonna see me showing off dick there. The most NSFW aspect so far will be making references to e621 and future videos where I talk about kinks in an educational way. Not like, "OMG HYPER IS HOT", but like "Why is Hyper an interesting story device" sort of thing

Side Project: 3D Models/Worlds

I've been messing with and constructing 3D models/worlds. 3D model bases I feel like is a good item to sell. Worlds are good for both support for building said worlds + general advertisement for my other works!

Currently I'm retopologizing a cartoony tanuki model. I was working on a dog but I really need to get me retopo skills up so that the model doesn't just look nice when still haha

When I get usable WIPs for you to use in VRchat or whatever, I'll put them here! The final model will be sold seperately on a digital store. Making a model is a lot of work haha

Side Project: Web Games

A while back you'll have seen me working on it. I still really want to work on it but I just can't justify the time. VRChat's user base is large. 3D models are used for streams, animations,etc.

A simple text based adventure or mastery game is something people just scan over in a steam store. Spending my time on that currently is just silly. Programing that did help me remember to be confident in coding which has been very helpful for Udon stuff. So it wasn't a waste of time.

Again, I just can justify future production on it until I have a more stable income and other stuff to sell haha.

Side Project: Sticker/Shirts/Physical Merchandise

This is another area I've flipped flopped on

I just haven't been able to get people excited about my merch. Some people like it but not enough to be viable. Digital stuff is both easier and probably will make more of a return.

I may look into prints because people seem to like prints of my works. But I'm unsure how much I'd actually gain doing that. I have to do some paperwork before even getting that ball rolling. Said paperwork is silly to do if the returns are too low.

That's all the plans I have for side projects right now. When things update I'll let you know

There's new features on discord. One of them being a community feature which allows for threads!

Meaning you can bring up neat topics or recent events to discuss! Anyone can create a thread if they like just remember to follow the server rules
