OT comment: loved the post, and when I scrolled down, I read your comic "I want to live" for the very first time and it made me cry with joy and sadness at the same time. I have never really been affected by "celebrity deaths" before, but Chester Benningtons suicide really shocked me, somehow. And although I am just generally going through a shit time right now, your comic made me feel a lot of love for life. Thank you! :)

This is one of the most touching strips of the whole comic.

Incredibly personal and really well done too. I like how you've shown multiple perspectives by talking through the thoughts you've had and by discussing it with each other. I hope you don't get too many readers trying to argue with any of the things you've said - but I'm afraid it's likely you will. Very brave of you to put so much of yourself out there, thanks for doing what you do.

Long time reader, first time commenter. Erica, this comic made me cry. In a good way. It just reflected so many of the conversations I've had with partners - the doubts and questions, etc. Thanks to you and Matt for sharing so genuinely. <3

I really relate to this comic. I have a copper IUD and in the years since I got it, I've had so many late periods. Now, I just wait it out and figure it will come. The first handful of times I seriously thought I was pregnant. I had been so regular before! And everything I knew about the copper IUD was that it didn't make you late or get a lighter period like the hormone IUD. I mean, it's do much heavier with it. My partner was so supportive the first time I was over a week late. (and every time since, but that first time I was absolutely convinced I had to be pregnant.) So many conversations. So many thoughts every time. Honestly, it's helped me evaluate the thoughts of what being an adult really means to me. What being a mother would mean to me. I'm so happy you're so candid. We need people like you in this world. Keep creating! ❤️

I've been a fan of your work for many years, and this comic made me stop procrastinating and finally sign up for your Patreon. It articulated thoughts I've had about parenthood but could never quite put into words. Thank you so much for Oh Joy Sex Toy, I've learned so much from it and just really enjoy it!

Erika this comic was literally my life this week. 7 days late for the first time in my life with my trusty Paraguard, it's been an emotional week to say the least. Thank you for all the amazing comics every week, by far the most educational (and entertaining) comic on my reading list!
