Spun Out by Hien Pham

Pole dancing class makes Hien Pham feel like Britney Spears! Unfortunately, he doesn't want to return after an inconsiderate comment from his instructor. Is there a way to give this negative experience a positive spin?

Sorry to hear things didn't go so well for you Hien, pole dancing is so much fun and it sucks that that instructor ruined it for you. ): You should definitely try again some day at a different studio, I'm sure there's some tricks that will help you. Alternatively have you thought about arial silks? Still get to feel super sexy but I'm pretty sure there's a lot less strain on your arms/hands there. Don't remember doing a lot of lifting when I did it.

I’m so impressed. I tried a class as part of a bachelorette party and couldn’t stop laughing at myself enough to take it seriously. Good for you for using it to express yourself!

Thank you Kevin! Yeah there are other studios I can investigate in the future. I did love the sport itself for sure. I was under the impression of silks would be heaps more straining on the arms / upper body strength? If I see a workshop or something I'll consider giving it a try. Thank you for the rec!

Haha I think it's good that it was still a joyous experience for you! The sensuality of the warm-up took me by complete surprise and it was one of my highlights for sure. Thank you for reading!
