okay but frog eye salad was actually done so dirty. the recipe i love has the usual fruit marshmallow cream situation but uses acini de pepe, the little itty bitty pasta. it makes a HUGE difference, i cant imagine eating orzo with it lol. theres not really a pasta flavor, its just a texture that is very nice. not for everyone tho lol

But marshmallows aren't vegetarian, they have gelatin in them which uses animal cartilage. Either way it's fine it's just idk if they have vegetarian marshmallows somewhere but in general they aren't animal product free.

I think of frog's eye salad as more of a summer dish than Thanksgiving. The recipe we used was quite different, though. It used acini di pepe pasta rather than orzo, and included mandarine oranges and a custard base with pineapple juice. Fucking delicious! I loved that shit as a kid!
