Is anyone else honestly feeling inspired to write fiction after My Immortal? Like...honestly, it brought back memories of when I was 13 or 14 and would write complete garbage *constantly*...and remembering how fun that was before I developed an inner critic. im catching up with this extremely late but in case anybody is curious: a few different people have claimed to be the author of my immortal, all have been debunked but its generally agreed that there's enough proof that it was actually likely a teenage girl who wrote it. Strange Aeons on youtube has a fantastic massive deep dive on the history and authorship of the fic that I recommend if anybody wants more details.

Rereading that summary from the beginning reminded me of when the author specified that vampires couldn't die from having their wrists slit. Then everone was sad Draco the vampire killed himself by slitting his wrists. Then Draco was alive again.

RIGHT? Ebony/Enoby hasn't been kind but she has never killed. She's begged over and over again how she doesn't want to kill, and doesn't want anyone to die because of her inaction, so for the fic to end as it does, you can either see her lose her innocence (killing Vampire) or realize that she has to put something else above her own desires, even if it's not an easy choice to make (saving preps and killing Satanmort).
