I‎ mean turquoise is more blue than purple because it literally has more blue than purple does. Purple is made up of a 1:1 ratio of red and blue (usually) while turquoise is a 2:1 ratio of blue to yellow, seeing as its made of both blue and green (blue+yellow).

Fun fact: that melty stuff was probably just some kind of coconut oil flakes. They'll recommend using coconut oil to aid in helping fix any melting chocolate that has "seized" (aka started to get all gross and messed up). I used to used coconut oil all the time when I first started messing with candy melts

Ironically, if Arin had tried to explain color as math then he probably could have gotten his thought across to Dan better, lol. If Purple is Red + Blue, and Turquoise is Green + Blue, and Green is Blue + Yellow, then Turquoise is literally twice as much Blue as Purple.
