Kurotrices (Patreon)

So, right now, we're diving into the creation of a new Tsourai clan from Ayelahai. These are the Kurotrices, the ones responsible for those legendary basilisks. 🐍🦜

The idea for these creatures came from the classic cockatrices (shoutout to Dungeon Meshi for reminding me of these awesome beings!). You know, the ones with a bird's body and a snake tail? Well, our new Tsourai have a similar vibe: bird-like bodies and a snake tail with its own mind and some seriously venomous fangs. The feathers on their tails give a nod to another mythical creature, the Quetzalcoatl.

What's really cool is that all Kurotrices have sharp teeth, even if they look like cute parrots or hummingbirds at first glance. The clan of these creatures is located in Ayelahai, and we're working on more ideas for their outfits and fine-tuning the design details and silhouettes.

The Kurotrices on the first art are inspired by the Cockatiel, Bearded Vulture, and Osprey.
