The Roadblock We Didn't Expect: Notion's Ban and Our Move to Obsidian (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

We wish writing this with better news, but sometimes the universe throws a curveball that catches you completely off guard. That’s exactly what happened to us this past week with Notion, the platform we’ve been using to organize and share all our articles and Shang-La info work. As well as the closed personal work on tCoL that we're making for the game itself inside of our dev team.

To put it bluntly: Notion decided to ban Russian users, and they did it without any warning, without any consideration. And —perhaps most frustratingly— without issuing refunds on our premium account. It’s like waking up one day to find that the home you’ve spent years building has just vanished into thin air, along with all your belongings. We will lose access to all the information we’ve meticulously posted there for ages. This isn't just data; it's our hard work, our creativity, and our dedication to bringing you the best content possible.

The frustration of seeing all our efforts potentially gone is overwhelming. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned through this journey, it’s that when life kicks you down, you get back up and fight harder. And that’s exactly what we’re doing.

So here’s the good news: we’re moving to a new platform, Obsidian. Yes, it’s taking some time to make this transition, and yes, there will be delays as we rebuild stuff there.

But we saved everything we had, and it's already a huge relief!
