I imagined the forest as the place Flynn mentioned in Chapter 1—the Evening Threshold he built to reach the upper gardens and gather plums for wine.
Here’s a snippet from the script (with a refined translation for better clarity):

ROUI: "I’ve never heard of the Shining Coin."

ROUI: "Where is it? Somewhere north of the camp? Or east?"

FLYNN: "North, east... how should I know."

FLYNN: "If you remember the Evening Threshold that runs along the Shumra, then the Shining Coin is to the right of it."

ROUI: "To the right of... what?"

FLYNN: "The Threshold. I built it when I needed to reach the upper gardens for plums—wine stuff. If it hasn’t collapsed by now, it should still be easy to find."
