Dionea, art and sprites -WIP- (Patreon)

L: It feels unfair that some of Grimm’s most beloved children were left forgotten on the shelves for so many years… so we decided to bring this concept back to life!

Rapodas are one of the still-existing tsourai clans on Shang-La, whose Craft is Entertainment. They’re naturally chaotic and loud, their appearance reflecting the world around them. Rapodas draw inspiration from Stream plants—or even food! But that doesn’t mean they want to be eaten. Have you ever seen those desserts that look like works of art? How could you resist wanting to look like one?

A Rapoda can control scents—either create them or mask their own “ink” smell with something else. That’s how they survived the Great Hunger, when everyone wanted to devour them. They simply hid in plain sight, and none of the Devourers could even find them! Some tsourai who’ve never seen a Rapoda don’t even know what they are—because they don’t smell like one of their kind.

Anyway—meet Dionea, one of the first Rapodas, who will appear in TCOL! He replaced a rather dull character I was originally planning to add. Dionea is all about dramatic staging, organ music, and ritual hymns. Any guesses what he’ll be doing there? :>
