A set of sketches for very grim locations that Roui will encounter in the Flat.

The expedition turned out to be far deeper than expected… All those shattered glass (?) pipes, a structure made of glossy black stone that looks like either a palace or a factory. Who did this place belong to? And is there anyone here besides us?

Woah, this is so awesome. I love the exaggerated perspective and the dutch camera angle - it really helps to convey that sense of disorientation Roui and whoever he is with must be feeling while so deep into the Flat. Also, I'm reminded of the Paper Gardens with the weird mansion or other building off in the distance. I wonder if it's somehow the same building? I'm really excited to see this in the final game - I love landscapes like this 💛

This is the coolest background I’ve seen so far. It has such a grand sense of scale. The massive sprawling castle is probably the biggest structure we’ve seen so far in this game which is super exciting

With the Checkered Floors. it makes me ponder if its nothing more then a Game for Dear Aunty. Will Roui ever become more then a Pawn?
