Still water, drifting patches of algae, endless columns, and a piece of open sky where no sky should be. It looks almost peaceful — which probably makes it worse.

What kind of music do you think should play here? We’ll collect your ideas, work them into a few directions, and pitch them to Blacksmith!

  • A slow, dreamy ambient track — calm and beautiful, but slightly wrong

  • A dark drone with distant chimes — heavy, empty, and unsettling

  • A distorted lullaby — familiar at first, then increasingly uncomfortable

  • A minimal track with sparse piano notes — quiet, lonely, and spacious

I think a combination of a drone and lullaby would be perfect, imagine just scant traces of a word or melody peeking out and moving around those columns! Just enough to catch attention but not enough to properly hear if that makes sense

Agreed!

i can imagine- *flips papers* if this is the same catacombs you posts almost 3 years ago. The same that has the corpse on the wall (which i still believe to be a Lasius) then: i can see it being dark and gloomy. as if this was used for something very important. a the sparse piano that sounds more like keys falling. the sound of a falling stone. then it turns into a lullaby that may even sound like soft Ritual chanting.. yes- yes- it ramps up more clear and just when we think we are getting the main juice of this lamb. A stone hits the water, restarting it to falling keys. as if this area is stuck, never to be what it wants to be. or once was. *gasp*

Sounds of water, echoing, the occasional dripping, maybe a distant crackling of rock, the occasional guitar note, distorted and distant.
