G: To the question of whether Amenaru can be called melalo or not xD The subject is interesting enough to draw an illustration.

Badru is a crafty guy, and he's trying to promote a "business" that they share with Amenaru the best he can. Badru has absolutely no "magical" abilities (apart from a entrepreneurial spirit and love of money), while Amenaru was a true priest in El-Balyama.

He carries an elbalyamian tradition of divination, which is taught only to the priests in one of the nomes. Obviously, these traditions have nothing in common with melalia. Due to Badru's attempts to "integrate" them into local traditions, the melalo regard them both as fraudsters.

This would be offensive to Amenaru, but he spends most of his time in fortune-telling, so he is seldom interested in exactly how Badru conducts their so-called-business.

Oh, Amenaru isn't a phurra, he is a pure-blooded matrie from a very old, respected family. Badru is also a matrie, his family were simple folk, tho.

That's the same for almost all the matrie xD The natural look of their horns is absolutely wild, so the crescent horns that you usually see (and that is usually associated with the matrie) is made by hand, with the help of long polishing and grinding. Amenaru keeps them shorter and more thick than matrie usually do, just for the sake of convenience. He also doesn't cover up his facial ulcers with makeup, doesn't wear a wig, and generally doesn't care about his own appearance.

Perhaps they are so short because he has no one to help him maintain his horns, so he can only let them grow as long as his arms can reach back.. poor lonely dude:(

I like both of them and their designs! Especially with Amenaru’s dreads, it gives him his own unique style! Interesting to see how other melalo would see them as fraudsters, that feels expected given how melalo are.
