This week's stream will talk about my method for building modular encounters to use with the Daggerheart rules, which involves developing an environment and related adversaries to present a dramatic situation for the PCs to navigate.

In the stream I'll continue to develop this approach, which I've used in the Wish Glade encounter from Incredible Creatures. Watch as I build an encounter around a new environment and then fill out what else a GM might need to drop it into their game as needed!

Building Modular Encounters for Daggerheart

Mike talks through their personal approach to building modular encounters for Daggerheart, building out from a core environment. They do this through using a custom time loop environment they made to create a specific encounter using a version of that environment. Content note for discussion of grief and suicide within the fictional context of the encounter writeup. Intro & intermission music: "A Good Life" by Dark Fantasy Studio. Outro music: "City of Magic" by Dark Fantasy Studio. All songs used with permission. I used the Wish Glade encounter/environment in the Tuesday night weekly(ish) online campaign I've been running for the past few months and it was worthwhile if not a little bizarre. It turns out rewriting reality isn't everyone's cup of tea I guess? I need to add it to our lines & veils discussion.
