Digging In (Patreon)

As fall takes hold, I am busting out the apple cider, pulling the sweaters and hoodies out of their storage bins, and using my light box in the morning as Vitamin D becomes scarce.

Oreo doesn't seem to notice or mind the passing of the seasons so much, as long as he gets his walks and his treats and his 12+ hours of vigilant napping a day.

Meg and I went to see ALIEN in the theaters this weekend for the 40th anniversary. It's fun to look back at the film and see how strong its influence has been on science fiction media, especially when you include the sequel. The gritty end of science fiction, with corporatism as a villain, the influence of H.R. Geiger's art on monster/alien design, and more.

Plus a very good cat. Jonesy for life.
