You might not notice, but there is a little dog on the stairs. Oreo is not supposed to take many stairs per day (it's a health thing) and yet he continues to nose his way past any gate we put up. Now he knows he isn't allowed upstairs unless we carry him, so he will split the difference, lying down on the third or fourth step to wait for us to come down in the morning.

I have been very worn down by the noise and escalating presidential primary here on the US as I try to keep up my writing and begin the pre-release promotional work for ANNIHILATION ARIA (releasing May 5th, wink). But the dog knows not of such things, he knows only that he's never been fed or walked in his whole life and absolutely must go out now (unless it is raining).
