I'm still deep in revisions for my novel, currently titled "Between Two Wars". I found a short bit I really like and thought I'd share it with y'all. This is an in-universe news item from the setting, one of many. I loved including things like this in Celebromancy and thought this novel would be well-served by these news-y epigraphs.

In a 5-4 ruling with Justice Thune siding with the liberals in the minority, the Supreme Court has upheld the President’s EO requiring all Enhanced Americans register themselves as lethal weapons and made themselves available for selective service in the case of another invasion.

The ACLU’s move to defend the Enhanced along a 2nd amendment axis was enough to sway Justice Thune but not either Kemp or Dunn, who were seen as the others most sympathetic to the civil libertarian argument.
