Listen to all of Born to the Blade in Podcast Form! (Patreon)

Today brings "All the Nations of the Sky", the 11th and final episode of Born to the Blade season one, written by yours truly.

So now you can listen to the entire first season on a podcast app of your choice (Apple link here - https://t.co/tYWTkEA3JT).

It's now easier than ever to enjoy this series of ambition, divided loyalty, swordplay, and magic.  It was an absolute pleasure getting to write with Malka Older, Cassandra Khaw, and Marie Brennan and I'm very proud of the work we did together.

Born to the Blade is set in a world I created way back when I was in undergrad, starting from the idea of a magic system practiced by swordplay. I wrote a sky pirate adventure novel in the setting, a book that sits comfortably in a trunk and will stay there. I learned a lot writing that novel, and it gave me a better handle on the setting, which I resurrected and re-worked for this series. It's got some of the best scenes I've ever written, and characters that live fully-formed in my head.

I'd love to return to these characters and this setting, but there are currently no plans for a Season Two of Born to the Blade.   If you want more, the best thing you can do to try to change that is to talk about the series and share it with friends! I am not holding my breath for this, but this new podcast release does provide a new opportunity for discovery and ease of sharing.
