Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 1x2 - Full Watchalong

Still enjoying this. The plot is pretty standard cyberpunk stuff. But I like our two main characters and the visuals are very good. (As I said, I’m very out of the anime loop these days but it looks great to me and it’s obviously an animation team you are a fan of and I can see why). It’s kinda cool seeing the stuff I remember from the old Table top game being portrayed visually. I especially remember the mechanic where the more tech you had implanted the more a stat called Humanity went down. Definitely looks like that will be a major theme here. (I’m guessing people who have played the video game are like “Duh, of course,” lol) Believe it or not, I actually thought while watching episode one “it sure seems like David‘s mom is trying hard to live out her lost dreams through her son. That’s probably not gonna work out great” But I forgot to mention it in my comment. Seems that’s gonna be an important theme, finding his own path. Independent of other people.. They’re definitely setting up a romantic pairing with Lucy. I like her character. Also gives me new appreciation for your cosplay. Excellent job. 👍😘 Anyway, I’m still on board, and becoming hooked I think.

It's not TOO much of a "duh" moment with regard to the game. There is an optional questline (that I didn't complete) that goes into cyberpsychosis and those afflicted by it, but it's not really a part of the main story. I didn't really understand too much about it until watching this show. And yes, Studio Trigger has a very unique and frenetic style. It's well showcased in the intro scene to one of my favorite shows: Kill la Kill. Though at first I was a bit overwhelmed by it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHHxCw6z1lw
