Matthew Graves (Graviton)

I wasn’t that shocked by Maine dying if only because killing off the mentor/father-figure is pretty standard fare inn a “hero’s journey” type story. Having him succumb to cyberpsychosis is a powerful bit of storytelling though because thematically it really turns the screws on the bleak choice David is facing. The dangers and cost ofthe lifestyle are painfully real for him. The stuff with Tanaka drives home that he’s just a disposable tool to both corps. The only thing that matters is loyalty to your crew but the cre is in tatters. Bleak stuff. I have no idea where it can go from here. It’s looking pretty bad. Oh, and I assumed that there was more serious damage to Kiwi than just getting knocked out but I guess thatl be revealed next episode.
