Content

Instead of doing a voted in movie this month, I thought we could do A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart as it was suggested by someone here! Next month we will watch Planet of the Apes and a make-up extra movie night either in January or February.

The movie night will begin in Discord to all paid Patreon members who have their Patreon account linked to their Discord account (necessary for access to join the viewing channel).

DATE: Saturday Dec 13

TIME: 5pm Pacific Time

If you are in Discord and your username is not green/yellow, you have not properly linked Patreon and Discord. Please ask myself or a Discord mod for assistance so that you can join us!

Yay. This version of A Christmas Carol is definitely the most book-accurate. So glad to see you are reacting to it.

If Charles Dickenshad made the play of his novellette this is what he would have made it is great will have to wait till it comes to patreon but excited

I'll watch, but I prefer the Muppet's Christmas Carol. The inclusion of Muppets softens the edge of what is essentially a children's story. Patrick Stewart looks like he's about to beat you with a cane lol. And that's too much even for Mr. Scrooge.

I hope you are watching Planet of the Apes from 1968.

Love that one, it is a downside there are no singing muppets or Commander Data in this movie

i'll try to be there. RECOMMENDATION: not a watchalong for Bunny (though she could do it!) but for EVERYBODY! "The Man Who Invented Christmas" tells the story of Charles Dickens struggles to write A Christmas Carol in 1848. It is an amazing insight and even presents the impact this story had on Christian traditions and practices. Available to rent for $5 on Prime. You've probably seen so many movies of this, and you're likely to see more. But this biopic gives such a deep insight you'll never see any of them the same way again!

wwwwwhhhhHHHAAAAATTTT!!!! Captain Picard played Scrooge??? I never knew. If I make it back home in time from buying a new wood stove, I'll be there tomorrow.

...better be watching some old school Planet Of The Apes... "...DAMN YOU!!!! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!!" Classic Heston. So now I have to ask... which was the more classic Heston... the "damn you all to hell" or the "Soylent Green Is People"? I'm going to have to vote for the latter.
