Remember, back in the day, videos weren't out yet... not to any major degree. So some sequels started with the end scene of the movie before it, to serve as a reminder to people who haven't seen it for a few years, and may have only seen it once.

Not to mention VHS tapes during the 80's were STUPID expensive. Like the really popular stuff was $60-80, and the older stuff you could get for $30-40, or $20 if you got lucky and found it used somewhere. It's a big reason why rental stores were so popular, for both movies and games.

lol, the reason Apollo had a change of heart at the beginning of this movie, since the end of the first movie... has everything to do with the fact they needed to fuel this sequel. : ) I don't think Stallone ever figured there would be a second movie. But then.... "Rocky" was nominated for 10 Oscars at the 49th Academy Awards and won 3. It won Best Picture, Best Director for John G. Avildsen, and Best Film Editing. It was also nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Sylvester Stallone), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Talia Shire), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Burt Young and Burgess Meredith), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Burgess Meredith), Best Original Screenplay, and Best Sound. "Rocky" also won Best Motion Picture at the Golden Globes. Sylvester Stallone won the award for Best Screenplay. It had additional nominations including Best Director, Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama (Stallone), and Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama (Shire). There were other awards and nominations..... So yeah, Creed NEEDED a change of heart. He bloody well HAD to demand a rematch. : )

The baby in the movie was actually Stallone's. That's Seargeoh Stallone.

Curious Bunn this is your first time going through the Rocky-Creed franchise? My Dad and I loved it, Rocky movies and The Wonder Years were OUR stories.
