Damn, I forgot to upload the updated video with louder audio. Oh well Yeah, episodes 8 and 9 have Violet coming to terms with what she did during the war and it is rough for sure. What Violet doesn't understand is that she does understand what love is, she just doesn't know that she understands it yet. I'm glad that you picked up the fact that she still needs orders from the Major. To her, if she's still receiving orders from the major, that's her way of knowing that she's still useful, that she's loved. Her carrying out those orders is her way of showing the Major that she loves him. When he tells her that she won't be getting orders from him anymore, she misunderstands him and thinks he's telling her that he doesn't love her anymore. She doesn't understand that he's trying to free her from any obligation to him, that he wants her to live her own life. Violet receiving her first letter is so heart-warming and heartbreaking at the same time! She didn't fully realize the joy she was imparting to others, and the lives she was changing with her letter writing until she finally received her first letter 😭 Also, them being backed up with letters is definitely real as one of their newer mailmen ditched his route and all the letters on the route, then Benedict sprained his ankle because of "those ridiculous shoes." So, yeah, they really were backed up, but Roland's gonna use this as a teaching moment anyway! I definitely love seeing everyone that Violet's touched along the way with her letters and her heart ❤️ Episode 10 just breaks everyone's hearts 😭😭😭 Ann needs all the hugs in the world and the bomb they drop that Ann's mother had Violet write 50 letters for her is the EMOTIONAL DAMAGE bomb of bombs! First time I watched this, I was thinking like 7-10 letters, just enough for one or two letters per day, but nope, 50 letters!!! 7 everyday with one day having 8 letters! And then Violet staying strong for Ann and her mother while she's there with them, but finally losing it when she's back at CH Postal just breaks me every time 😭😭😭😭😭 Episode 11 is a lot of EMOTIONAL DAMAGE as well. Violet staying with Aiden and just being with him in his last moments, while memorizing all his letters is so beautiful and so sad at the same time! The fact that she kisses him as he dies so that it'll be like he's kissing Maria for the first time is so sweet and heartbreaking 😭😭😭 Then, she personally delivers the letters to his parents and Maria ❤️❤️❤️ She tries to stay strong until after she leaves like she did with Ann and her mother, but Aiden's mom stops her and thanks her and EMOTIONAL DAMAGE overload happens!!! So, 2 more episodes of Violet Evergarden left, which I'll request next month in addition to other stuff (it'll be a lot of a particular band I've been requesting a lot lately 😉) and other stuff on top of that. Lots of EMOTIONAL DAMAGE coming up, but a lot of fun as well
