Yeah, I brought you an eclectic mix of music this month lol. Zar Electrik has a very different sound than what we're used to here in the US and I'm glad that they're able to showcase their talent and creativity on Tiny Desk. Gypsy looks so fun and I would love to go see the full Broadway show! Apparently, there is a current Broadway revival for Gypsy, but who knows how much those tickets will cost? Answer, too much for me lmao. One more batch from me this month and it's very different from the music batches you reacted to today 😉

So, just some general information about The Greatest Showman Reimagined. First, it came out in 2018, about a year after The Greatest Showman started its theatrical run. It has 13 tracks on the soundtrack, so obviously I did not include every song in these 2 batches, mostly because there were multiple versions of some of the songs (and one song was just a short reprise, so I didn't include that one). Obviously, I had to include Pentatonix because, I mean, it's Pentatonix lol. There's another version of "The Greatest Show" in this album done by Panic! at the Disco. Pink was still quite active when this album came out, but I don't think she's active now as she was back then (someone can correct me if I'm wrong about this). Also, the short reprisal for "A Million Dreams" that comes right after this track is sung by Pink's daughter, Willow Sage Hart. So, I chose Craig David's version of "Come Alive" because I like his version better. The other version of "Come Alive" on this soundtrack is done by Years & Years and Jess Glynne. I mean, Kelly Clarkson. Need I say more? lol I chose the "This is Me" version performed by Keala Settle (original singer/actress), Kesha, and Missy Elliot. There's another version on this album with just Kesha, but, as good of a singer as she is, I'm always gonna choose the version with Keala, because this is her song and she is untouchable on this song. That Urkel bit gets me every time Missy lol. Also, this reminds me when Missy was a surprise guest performer for one of the recent Superbowls and all the youngin's were like, "Who's this great new artist" and I'm like, "Bitch! You don't know who Missy Elliot is?" 🤣🤣🤣 James Arthur and Anne-Marie's version of "Rewrite the Stars" is interesting for me because I think Zac Efron sounds a lot better singing it than James Arthur, but Anne-Marie sounds better singing it than Zendaya. Just an opinion, don't shoot lol "Tightrope" is the song sung by PT Barnum's wife in the movie. It's her one solo song in the movie and you reacted to it twice, once when I just gave you the songs to react to, and once when you reacted to the whole movie. It's more memorable here because Sara Bareilles is a world-class singer while Michelle Williams is a very good singer, but definitely not world-class. Zac Brown Band's version of "From Now On" is a bit more southern-sounding than the version in the movie. I prefer the movie version, but the movie has all the visuals and choreography going for it, so it's not really a fair comparison. So, it had been too long since I gave you an ED, knockout punch to end a batch, so I gave you 2 this month 😜🤣🤣🤣 You only think I do this all the time because the ED ones are the ones you remember so vividly. Your own vivid imagination is playing tricks on you lol. Most of my ending songs in my batches have been fun ones, but you never remember those 🤣🤣🤣 As you said in the stream (I was taking a shower at the time, so I didn't hear it the first time around lol), more Spy x Family coming your way 👍
