Hello everyone.

I’m honestly at a loss for words at the moment with everything that’s been happening since my recent move, but overall it is not going smooth at all and I’ve hit several rough patches.

The biggest issue is that I cannot have access to my personal Internet, even though the new home provides free Wi-Fi. Now, that sounds great on paper, but it is a massive issue when it comes to streaming, content creating, etc., as my personal internet plan I’ve had for several years brought us to this level of creation and the property's Wi-Fi just isn’t up to par. I’ve sent MANY emails and a work request to the property manager, who I just spoke with in-person a few minutes ago and they have to be in touch with the building’s owner to “possibly“ install the coaxial cable in order for everything to work. But, when that would be established?…

...no one knows and that creates a lot of anxiety.

I’ve already had two Internet technicians come by telling me the same thing and this is completely out of my and their control until I hear something back from the property manager, all because of ONE coaxial port not being present…And before someone says "wEll WHY dIDn't YOU Check For ThE pORTS BeFOrE MOVINg?"...Idk where you live specifically, but coaxial cable ports are/were a standard for cable/internet here and I NEVER had a situation in the many times I've moved where there wasn't one.

I’ve already exhausted alternatives outside of having this missing port, but even so, I don’t have direct access to the Wi-Fi itself as it is a part of the property recessed in the building. And if you’re new to my community,,...

TLDR;

I’ve been running on an ethernet line for the past year or so at the old place since the Wi-Fi component on my motherboard is broken, and that’s how I was able to stream most of this time as prior to that, my streams were dropping frequently. So I can’t even do ethernet.

So, now I’m faced with two very harsh realities to make...

I either find a way to extremely pivot with the backlog of reactions from October and going forward converting them into recorded reactions instead, until this installation “possibly“ happens.

OR (and this might be the worse...)

I have to shut down my Patreon going forward and figure out if I have to either break my lease and find a better, more suitable home through moving AGAIN...

IF I shut down Patreon, I would be issuing refunds from right before the move until now essentially. IF this is the route, PLEASE give me some time to issue them.

This was completely unexpected and honestly is breaking me down. I LOVE streaming, communicating with you all, engaging, and being ME so this is very important. But I don’t see this issue being resolved as soon as I think and I am trying my best to figure out a way to circumvent everything. I also apologize for not communicating with you all as for the last several weeks I’ve had to manage extremely stressful situations, this being the lesser one of them. I’ve never had to deal with this issue before as well, and is creating exhaustion.

Regardless...streaming for now is not an option.

More details will follow promptly as I will now be focusing on option #1 to maybe keep this train rolling, but spiritually I am broken as I love the way that we were doing things.

Please take care.

I’m so sorry to hear this dude!! I hope everything works out soon. My sister has had all kinds of moving problems and it’s always a nightmare. Sending love

For the sake of putting it out there, I know some companies like Verizon offer 5G home internet in some places, so you wouldn't need anything wired. I have no idea how well that would work for streaming, and you very well may have already looked into that and found it unavailable/unworkable, but I figure there's no harm in mentioning it. I really hope that you're able to find a solution, it really sucks that you've been put in that position, but I for one am not in any way unhappy with you. I appreciate that you've kept us updated, and none off this is your fault.

Thank you… I have looked into that and it would still require a technician to install a new infrastructure or something along those lines similar to a coaxial cable installation. I really wish this was all either communicated to me or brought to my attention prior as even while all of this was going on, I asked the property manager if I could supply/add on my own personal Wi-Fi for a better experience and they said it was possible. But here we are… It really put me in a bind. I don’t know what to do with, but I will try to keep you all updated.

Thank you so much… This is becoming more of a nightmare by the day, but I’m hoping something can be resolved soon.

Don't push yourself into overtime for us Ghoxt. The most important thing is your mental and emotional state. We can wait for you to get settled. I'm sorry your experiencing WIFI issues.

gh0xttherebel

I don’t know when I could be comfortably settled because on the surface level this seems like it’s just an issue with the Wi-Fi… But this takes A LOT of projects and plans out of commission, streaming out of commission effectively, and essentially being myself because all of those things bring out the best of me. So this really hits on a deeper level and the fact that I can’t do anything about it after exhausting all alternatives and options really puts me down. But I will try my best. Thank you for your kind words.

I hope everything works out. Moving is literally the worst. Take care!

Yeah, that's some bull, the property manager really screwed you on that. I'm sorry, man.

Puns of War

I recently moved myself so I completely empathize. Just keep moving forward. It will all work out. Best wishes.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t this also affect your ability to work from home for the time being too? Meaning you’d be working in the office all week till this is fixed?

gh0xttherebel

Not necessarily. The Wi-Fi that is offered here is “just good enough” for me to work from home, but that’s basically it. As far as doing everything outside of that… I am at a detriment. I can only use my PC for editing purposes, and that’s the absolute most I could do. But even then, I would have to transfer the produced videos over to a flash drive and uploaded with the “good enough” Wi-Fi, which would take HOURS…or even days. I haven’t gotten to that point yet as I’m trying to record as many batches as I can before editing, but that’s what I’m speculating will happen.
