Yeah, Dave (singer, guitarist) coming in with that story about him and his girlfriend hitting some black ice definitely gets me misty-eyed whenever I watch this video. And they're right. He's got great vulnerability in his voice. That softness in his voice pulls you in and kinda puts a spell on you. Really good stuff! With David (the pianist), it was really cool that they found a solution to his problem with the pushes. Breaking up the chord into arpeggios was really smart and eliminated the need for him to focus on the pushes and play in a more natural, flowing style. Also, Lisa isn't just a pianote instructor as she's also an instructor for singeo. The kid playing the drums is really good and you could really see him loosening up the further they got into the day. He was very technically proficient at first, but you didn't really feel him in his playing early on in the day. As he got used to everything, his playing felt more organic. The bassist is good. Also, an 8th grader should be around 13 or 14 years old depending on where they are in the school year (should turn 14 during the school year). I'm glad you enjoyed this video. I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction to the second video with this format!
