*Commenting at I watch* I'm playing this on my *COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE MICROSOFT PLAYSTATION 3* jokes aside, years ago I ported my own copy of the HD trilogy collection to my PC for easy access in the event my console ever stopped working. It never did and I even still have my original PS2 copy but better safe than sorry. The emulation is also why every now and then it would say "Compiling Shaders" in the bottom left "This is so extra" That's the name of the game, baby! Kill demons and look good while doing it! Developers at Capcom made sure almost anything you see Dante do in a cutscene can be done in game hence the surfing on enemies that, as you can probably tell, I really like. The parry/block i'm doing early on is one of the four styles. There's Swordmaster which gives you extra melee actions, Trickster gives a dedicated dodge button, Gunslinger gives extra gun actions, and Royalguard (the one i was using) let's you block with perfect timing to build up a bar which can be spent on a high damage move which does even more damage if you time it with an enemy's attack. There are also two other unlockable styles later in the game. I'll be trying to show them all off somewhat equally though i'll probably unconsciously use Royalguard the most. Yes, Dante is our hero in red and Vergil is the aura farmer on the tower. I think what you're referring to with Adam in RWBY is people believing he was at least somewhat based on Vergil. It was cleared up eventually as just a coincidence. I also remember some few people thinking he was also inspired by a character from "Metal Gear Rising: Revengence" named Jetstream Sam but the trailer released barely a month after Metal Gear Rising so that got shot down pretty quick. This version of the game is the Special Edition released with extra content. If i remember rightly, when booting up a new game you have the choice of starting your save as either Dante or Vergil. In case it wasn't obvious from the mag dumping, I have a long standing hatred for certain enemies in this game. I'd love to see more people play the games they love. I always enjoy seeing what people are passionate about and what makes them tick. The flying centipede isn't...the best boss fight. A cakewalk even for first timers and just isn't super engaging. Overall, I absolutely love this game with all of my heart. I've genuinly lost count of how many times I've completed this game. It's partially responsible for my interest in 3D art because in the times of the PS2 and before, you had to do what you could with what you had. It's a genuine talent to make such detailed environments and such an in depth game with resources incomparable to what's available now. Glad you're enjoying the gameplay so far!
