I was wondering how they were going to do this crossover because DC characters (except for Batman) are WAY more powerful than RWBY characters. This being a VR world made sense why everyone's powers were fairly equal. Since you know way more about RWBY characters than DC characters, I will help break the DC characters down for you a bit. Superman: born on the doomed planet of Krypton as Kal-El (dude literally has the name of God in his name) to Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van who sent him to earth on a spaceship to ensure his survival. On earth, he is found by Jonathan and Martha Kent, who adopt him as their own and raise him (and named him Clark Kent). As he grew under our yellow sun (even though our sun is actually white, lol), he found he had great powers and abilities that he wouldn't have on his home world of Krypton, which had a red sun. He has superhuman strength (the upper limits are unknown), superhuman speed (upper limits unknown), superhuman senses (you get the point), superhuman durability and high levels of invulnerability, practically no fatigue toxins (he can basically fight until the sun runs out of power or he uses his vast storage of power), heat vision (basically a ridiculously high-powered laser; takes the most energy out his many abilities), X-Ray vision, freeze breath, flight, and the list goes on. If this movie took place in either reality (as long as Remnant has a yellow/white sun, or sun with similar power output), Superman would be able to destroy all the Grimm on Remnant with no difficulty whatsoever. Batman: just a normal guy on earth with almost unlimited resources (he's a billionaire) and an iron-clad will. His parents died in front of him when he was a child as the result of a robbery gone wrong. From that moment, Bruce Wayne vowed to become justice itself and take on the criminal scourge that was taking over Gotham City. With an IQ over 190, he studied and mastered criminology, multiple languages and fighting styles, and became the best detective and one of the best fighters (perhaps the best fighter) on the planet. He trained so much that he became faster and stronger than the best Olympian athletes. He has such a keen mind for battle strategies and tactics that he can defeat people much more powerful than himself. With his vast resources, he has many gadgets and vehicles to help him even the odds against such powerful foes. Wonder Woman: her name is Diana Prince (made-up last name) and she is the daughter of Zeus, the king of the Olympians, and Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons. She has many of Superman's abilities, minus the heat vision, x-ray vision, freeze breath, etc. She is several thousand years old and can speak practically every language on earth. Although, Superman is considered more powerful, Diana is considered more dangerous because of her skill in battle and more aggressive nature. Green Lantern: so this is more of a title than an actual character as there is an entire Green Lantern Corps with thousands of members spread across the universe. The main Green Lantern is Hal Jordan. A Green Lantern can be any race in the universe and are chosen by a green lantern ring when a Green Lantern dies (it literally zips straight to its chosen champion). They are powered by their ring, which has limited power which needs to be replenished by, you guessed, their green lantern. Though these things have limited power, the rings grant their champions immense power, which is also fueled by their champion's willpower. A Green Lantern can basically do anything with their green lantern ring. So, how powerful a Green Lantern is depends completely on their willpower and imagination. Flash: Barry Allen is ridiculously fast, faster than Superman and Wonder Woman. He has a sad origin story, but I'm getting tired of typing so I won't post that here. Cyborg: Victor Stone was a high school football standout who got into a dangerous car accident. His father turned him into a cyborg using a technologically advanced alien relic. Vixen: honestly don't know much about her, but her abilities are magical and she doesn't have a tail. So, overall, I thought the movie was fine. It definitely felt like a part 1 and I still think they should have just released it as one movie, but that's just me. Honestly, you didn't seem as into it as you are with the main RWBY storyline, but maybe I'm just reading into it (I know you had to deal with some work stuff, so that probably had something to do with it).

I liked this movie way more than I thought I would. I actually thought the fight scenes were really well done, I never thought they looked slower than usual. The story was kind of odd I guess (to be expected trying to crossover two totally different franchises), and I thought Batman's characterization was weird (idk if that was because of the voice actor they picked for him). But overall I think they handled the weirdness of the crossover as well as they could have. My only real complaint was that I thought some of the interpersonal conflicts were a little contrived. Batman thinking about staying because he had powers, Weiss egging him on almost obsessively. Cyborg and Ren fighting over Nora. It seemed like they were trying to find reasons to give every single character a spotlight, even when it didn't come too naturally. And I didn't realize until watching it through this time just how often someone talks about how weird the Grimm were acting. They mentioned it like 50 times, even after they were already together as a group and had collectively established that the Grimm were strange. Like, they knew they were in a simulation, and the Grimm were not real or acting normal, and Cyborg goes "do they normally do that? they seem weird!" LMAO Also that one scene where Jaune lacks eyebrows will forever haunt me. But other than that, I enjoyed it and would definitely watch a part two!
