Oh boy do I love these cinematics (don't ask me about the actual game as I've never actually played it ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ)! All right, let's start your Star Wars education! So, yes, that is how lightsabers are made. There's a handle/emitter portion, and then there's the power source called a kyber crystal. So, the color of the lightsabers kind of show the user's personality and/or whether they're a light side or dark side user. Red lightsabers are pretty much exclusively used by the Sith/dark side users. Blue, green, and purple lightsabers are generally used by light side users, although, a purple lightsaber generally means that the user is utilizing both the light side and the dark side. There's more colors, but I'll stop there for now ๐Ÿ˜‰ The first cinematic, "Return" (from what I understand) is the opening cinematic for the game (and yes, the playlist is in chronological order in regards to the game). This game takes place thousands of years before the main Star Wars continuity (about 3000 years before, I believe, but I could be wrong about that ๐Ÿ˜…). So, this cinematic features two sets of master-apprentice duos: Malgus (the main bad guy you see in cinematics 1-3, and 6) and his master (don't know his name), and Satele Shan (she's a padawan; not yet a full jedi) and her master (also forget his name; known as the best lightsaber duelist in the jedi order as you have now seen). Both masters lose their lives in this video and the apprentices live on to fight another day... Which leads us to "Hope." The apprentices meet again for round 2 only Satele is now a legitimate jedi knight and Malgus a legitimate Sith lord. Malgus has proven that he is the better lightsaber duelist in both this video and the previous one, but Satele has a better connection to the Force. It's because of this connection to the Force that Satele was able to block Malgus' lightsaber with her bare hand ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ This is an ability called tutaminis, which is basically energy absorption/dispersion. It's also great that she basically throws a hadoken at Malgus ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Now Malgus is a tough dude! He survived the hadoken to make it to "Deceived" ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ He is similar to Darth Vader since they're both at least partially cybernetic. He kills a jedi knight/master (can't remember if he's a knight or master ๐Ÿ˜…). We also see that Malgus utilizes bounty hunters in addition to Sith warriors. Then we come to the first expansion pack with "Sacrifice" and "Betrayed". The dad in these videos is a sick, manipulative SOB ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ He plays with the twins' minds, particularly the partially cybernetic one in white who is clearly more aggressive and passionate one, whereas the one in black is more skilled but more compassionate (a protector if you will). He protects both his brother and his father and pays the ultimate price for it ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ Then we see the story of their mother and sister. It's so sad how their sister is molded into a weapon by their father by stripping her of her humanity ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ All their mother wanted was to save her, but their father took that chance away from her ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ She was a complete badass in trying to save her daughter though ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ Malgus is back in "Disorder" and he's more evil and cunning than ever ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ He puts Sahar and her master at odds with each other (that was a nice kick from him though ๐Ÿ˜‰). Then he kills her master right in front of her, which keeps her off balance in her duel with Malgus (she was vicious though)! He played her like a fiddle and took what he wanted and dipped! Also notice that she has a purple lightsaber and that she uses a much more aggressive and acrobatic form of lightsaber combat than her master. Her inexperience and this aggression bring her closer to the dark side than she's probably ever been before. Anyways, let's talk about the structure and ranks of the jedi order. So, when Sahar is tested by her future master, she becomes a youngling, or basically a jedi initiate. Then, her master takes her on as his apprentice, the rank of padawan (the rank before a full-fledged jedi knight). In order to become a jedi knight, they must go through some trials (basically the worst test in the world ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ). Once they pass the trials (or an equal or greater feat), then they're a full-fledged jedi knight and are able to take on their own padawan if they want. Then, there's a jedi master, basically the best of the best and wisest among the jedi. There is also a grandmaster of the order (like Yoda) and some other ridiculously high ranks that I forgot about ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ There's more to Star Wars, but I'm tired of typing, so I'll stop here
