Sorry I couldn't be there for the stream bro. I hope it was fun!

Ilsuk Yang

There's gonna be another live stream (most likely on Monday) with mainly your Twitch requests. He wanted to get to yours today, but there was a lot of stuff as you can see

Ilsuk Yang

So, what can I say about the first 3 videos in this batch? Well, obviously you already know that Home Free won this season, so they clearly advanced to the next round here, but so did the group they went against (Filharmonic) lol! So, the 2 groups that went home on this night were actually the 2 groups in the first video (VoicePlay vs Acoustikats). Vocal Rush (youngest group left in the competition at this point; high schoolers) and Ten (oldest remaining group remaining in the competition at this point; you've seen Emoni before when you reacted to VoicePlay's Wicked Medley). While I've always enjoyed this battle between VoicePlay and the Acoustikats, I do agree that they were the weakest links in this round of the competition. "Colder Weather" and "I Want Crazy" are the last 2 competition songs for Home Free as their performance with Jewel (Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas) wasn't part of the competition, even though it happened on the same night lol. So, each of the 3 finalists did a Christmas song with one of the judges, then did their competition piece (Ten finished in second place and Vocal Rush in third). Personally, "Colder Weather" and "I'm Alright" are my favorite competition pieces from Home Free. "Ring of Fire" is up there too. "Stand by Me" was more of an excuse to show off the judges and Nick lol. Having 2 basses on their after-the-Sing-Off version of "Ring of Fire" (with Avi Kaplan, former bass of PTX) is fun, but I do prefer the competition version of "Ring of Fire" but not by much lol This last portion of this super batch is just super fun 😁😁😁 You were either literally laughing your ass off (see what I did there 😉😏; don't pay attention to me 🤣🤣🤣), smiling your face off, or you were just shocked for various reasons 🤣🤣🤣 Obviously, "Quarantine" and "Sea Shanty Medley" were done during quarantine times and they didn't slow down with the music at all during this time. If anything else, they might've released more music during this time 🤣🤣🤣 I also enjoy the simple animation superimposed over the wonderful vocals of the group in "Mississippi Squirrel Revival". These 5 videos definitely show how Home Free takes the music seriously, but not themselves. Glad you enjoyed this super batch!

Gh0xt can get to my requests whenever he wants to and whenever he can. I'm just glad y'all got to have fun and come together as a whole. Love you all.

Ilsuk Yang

Oh yeah, since I did A LOT of Home Free this month, I probably won't do them again until April, maybe May

Shadow Drivver

So yeah. Chakra-X did state that Sonic: Nazo Unleashed was heavily inspired by DBZ: fights, sound effects, the fusion Shadic (which to my knowledge, this was the first introduction of the fusion as a whole to the internet). I may be wrong, but outside of Omahdon (the voice actor for Nazo), Chakra-X worked on this alone (editing, animating, etc.)

I love how you said "Where did this come from?" only to really enjoy this combo batch in the end (I told you you would like this batch better lol). So, Jordan Rudess is part of a prog metal group called Dream Theater. The homie Charles Berthoud is a big fan of theirs, which makes sense. Jordan was highly trained in classical music before eventually turning to prog metal (both very difficult types of music lol). Pianote recently released another of these types of videos with Jordan, so I'll definitely request that in the future As you said, Domino was way too hard on herself! She crushed that! And for only having a single kick pedal, she could definitely fool a novice into thinking that she did have a double pedal lol. Also, little background on her, but before that, a little background on the 2 types of professional drummers. The first kind is the traditional professional drummer (the session/touring drummer or regular drummer with a band; a lot of people in this category do a mixture of these). The second is the social media drummer (basically YouTube drummers). Domino is actually both types of drummer. She tours with bands (mostly Canadian bands since that's where she lives), does session work, and is a YouTube/social media drummer. Impressive woman for sure! There's another video of her doing another drumless song, so I'll request that in the future, too lol That might be the highest note Lisa accidentally hit 🤣🤣🤣 So, the feature pianist here is Victoria Theodore and I think she had the hardest assignment in this batch, even though she can hear the piano part (I mean, she kind of has to since it's the only part lol)! Learning a difficult song like this by ear is ridiculously difficult and I commend her for taking on this challenge. I mean, when Sangah did this challenge (the first to do this type of challenge on Pianote), she had the video showing her the piano part. Victoria doesn't even have that! And she crushed it! Some obvious mistakes, but so what?!? I would actually be more worried for her if she didn't make any mistakes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 So, at 5:03:02 is about where Chad broke that stick and kept going without missing a beat 🤣🤣🤣 So, many people think that Chad knew this song when they recorded this video, but he clearly didn't as he was making a lot of adjustments throughout that one take. This is most evident at the end of the song as he initially started to go even harder on the drums then realized that the song was winding down, so he changed it up to a more appropriate style. He also missed the ending by a beat or so (most people think he ended right on time, but not quite lol). Anyways, the reason Chad is able to play a song like this on his first listen-through is because he's been playing drums for 55 years 😮😮😮. He's 62 now, so that should tell you when he started playing drums. Also, I think this man is actually funnier than Will Ferrell (yeah, I said it 🤣🤣🤣) and I will request that video of Chad and Will that was mentioned in the stream. Glad you enjoyed this batch and you'll definitely be seeing more of this style of video

Ilsuk Yang

See, that's the dilemma I have. There's so much stuff I want to request from them, but, at the same time, there's so much other stuff I want to request too 🤣🤣🤣 So, I try to balance my requests. Fair warning: there will be some emotional damage in my first batch for February. I mean, it wouldn't be me without at least a little bit of emotional damage 😉😏

Ilsuk Yang

Gh0xt getting scared by Adam at around 3:19:30 is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 So, Avi also makes an appearance in Home Free's video for "Champagne Taste" that you reacted to (where I caught you looking at something *bonk* 😉😏) that you probably missed because it was so quick. That video and "Ring of Fire" were both recorded during that same trip lol. Gotta love seeing The Jetsons and Bam Bam in the not so distant past (well, for us) 🤣🤣🤣

Ilsuk Yang

So, if you do bring back customs in March, there's a good chance it'll be Home Free from me, or VoicePlay, maybe Pentatonix. I don't know, it'll be an acapella group, that's all I'll say lol
