Roses are red

Violets are blue

An easy rhyme won't help you!

Admittedly, this is a more niche ramble because it requires an intersection of multiple things, but I wrote the scenes anyway! So here we are. 🤗 Your Returning Visitor's past affinity (or hobby) will come up throughout the series, often sprinkled in in meaningful ways. One example from Book Two is during the Verner mansion exploration section: the room you and…

Alexs main affinity is the piano but i also have runs where i pick poetry as a secondary hobby for them so im just Giggling and kicking my feet at the thought of Alex reciting poetry to S God i wish that were me Alex was trying to get a reaction from S by flirting but this? This is much better They would consider it a win 😎

Particle 010, I do love S. I tend to pick astronomy as my interest but the urge to do a poetry run so I can be insufferable with S deep in a romance is real. Wanna make people gag and retch over my poetic ramblings about my wife lmao.

Oh, I can't wait for the opportunity for Evie to sit next to Reese on the piano bench and play music with him.

Micheal’s main creative passion is writing short stories (specifically horror with tragedy mixed in) with sketching being a second favourite hobby of his. Having said all that Micheal enjoys (or at least can appreciate) all forms of literature and art, so I can see him and S having a grand time reading poetry together. Though there is a good chance of S being bombarded (in a respectful manner) with questions about poetry by their inquisitive old friend 😆.

The way I heard the 'porque no los dos' meme (?) in my head. 👀 Perhaps, Alex will flirt with S via a sensual haiku for maximum chance to get a reaction from their taciturn beloved. I can imagine Alex viewing breaking S's composure as a goal given their competitive nature. (Also, the piano mention is perfect for R since dueling pianos was once a trend, but beyond that, the piano bench is long enough for two rivals to sit relatively close together--to observe the notes of course! 🙃 How nimble and flawless they both play.)

S would casually be like: 'This made me think of you...' and then obliterate you with a Sappho, either of the Fitzgeralds, Marlowe, etc. quote that won't leave your mind the entire day until you're back together with them again. Yes! I support you both being poetic and romantic with S, though they'd stargaze with your MC too, possibly sharing what they've been writing/working on then. 💙

That would be such a tender moment between them! 🎹🖤 (Eventually, Evie and R could possibly tag-team to get J to sing for them, though it won't be easy.) I love that she shares that hobby/passion/talent with R. It's lovely.

Michael's creative passion may be kicking into overdrive with more time spent in Fernweh; I adore how what's happening in town could be influencing his passion, possibly it taking on a darker note as he copes. 👀 His sketches sound cool as well. One thing I like about the Book One mention of writing as a hobby is the inclusion of J. They're said to have always been one to listen to the MC's stories even while the MC was a nascent writer, still learning how to write, so there might be a future scene with a romanced J where the MC can once again chose to share. 📚 For Micheal, I could imagine R volunteering for a somewhat dramatic (we know how they are) reading of one of his horror writings while J, R, and him are all together, possibly lounging/relaxing. 💜 As for S, they would welcome those questions and the chance to pose their own to Micheal about his craft and authors he enjoys! It would be fun for both of them. 🥰

I remember reading somewhere that R didn't want to learn piano, so I have a personal headcanon that Evie's mom encouraged her to do it because she knew it would get Reese to want to do it. 🤭

That is so precious! 🥺 It's also something that the TFS mom would do hands down if she saw R sulking or heard something from Mr. Verner. (I'm now even more excited for future piano scenes! 💞)

S pulling a Xena "Many happy returns' simultaneously obliterating the RV and making everyone near by throw up from the lovey dovey. We can stargaze after and S can listen to the RV talk about the different stars.

‘Possibly it taking on a darker note as he copes’ That is a possibility since right after the fire and being (from Micheal POV) thrown away by his grandfather writing was his main escape from the pain, anger and emptiness he felt at the time. So I can see Micheal’s work becoming more dark and grim then they usually are which would be a shame because B has (in my headcanon) only recently asked if their best friend could add a little light and hope to his work 😔. Nothing could put a smile on Micheal usually stoic face more then the opportunity to entertain his beloveds 🥰, it would be a chance for him to reminisce the times when he would read his stories to J at night in a attempt to scare them 😈, or the times where Micheal and R engaged in a writing contests and usually winning (at least that what he chooses to believe 😆).

I wonder how science will play out. Astronomy I can see MC and their love interest stargazing, but the others (especially archeology) are a bit harder for me to see coming up.

hard to get kiss from S? I'm being attacked rn Jam's past hobby and current career course is geology. I imagine her way of flirting would be - Jam tries to impress S with a pretty rock: I found it in the river 🥺🥺🥺 (I have a crush on you)

I love how the past times will be making an appearance soon. It makes me think about ReeZ playing the piano together (or I think about R playing the piano and Z singing ok, just let Z sing to every RO of hers, she's got that heavenly voice). I just love music, hugging all music affiliated things :') The bits with S makes me smile because poetry is such a beautiful thing and to catch S off guard? To receive a kiss from them? Oh, help me, I'm melting. Out here blushing and covering my face and giggling and kicking my feet.
