This post is going to spotlight: Milton Callaway, the first Fernweh born and bred (sorry @ baby Bambi) character your Returning Visitor encounters in Book One! I feel it's timed perfectly with our other post about additional character name meanings. He's an important character!

During the first book, Milton can provide a minor scare and lean into the horror hallmark of a small town cop coming upon the main character. Fortunately, he doesn't have that typical unsettling energy we see in most films/books, rather he's excited and impish about pulling a prank on someone new. His subsequent 'disappearance' also runs parallel with the book's plot of uncovering more is 'off' and 'amiss' about this seemingly idyllic forested town. 🌲
