Calling this one done !

So there are several things I’ve experimented with and that I quite liked : thigh-high cropping for one, and the use of hard edged shadows throughout. I usually mix hard shadows with gradients and one of the things I struggle with is keeping a good balance of both ( I don’t really like the airbrush look). But here I tried going for hard edged shadows only, using a bit of hatching for smoother transition. I knew since I was going for a dark background and a dark suit, the lineart wouldn’t be so visible so I treated the rim light as just another lineart to describe the figure and I think it came out great !
