Info: Patreon Access Logic Rework (Patreon)

Hello, Hexxet here,

I'm glad to announce that my implementation endeavor seems to be over and working. From now on, Patrons will get a homepage Membership assigned on sign-on/pledge. This will enable Patreon Members to log into the homepage via EMail + Password, instead of using the "Login with Patreon" Button.

Please note, the Patreon Button will stay there and you can still login like that in the future. It's just that this button did not work for some users or devices. So, users who have trouble using the button, or users who prefer using a password login, can now do so.

When can you log in like that? That depends on your subscription. Your account will be configured on your next pledge. (So when your subscription renews, or when you update your Tier). So, a month from now 08.05.2026, All monthly Patrons should be able to use the new sign-on method if they so please.

I hope that this additional login will help new Patrons and those who previously had problems with the Patreon Login Button. :)

FAQ:

How do I know my Account Password?

You don't. -> Click forgot password on the login page of the homepage and you will receive a Password reset link to your email -> click that -> set your password -> now you can use it to login.

I'm a yearly subscriber and I would like to use the new login method. Is that possible?

Sadly my current logic only auto updates on changes to your subscription. But you can write me a private message and I will assign you your corresponding Tier by hand. Then you can use the new login method.

If you have comments or questions about this change, or general problems with the login, let me know in the comments or write me a private message.
